Raised in an Australian wheat belt area where you swim in dams with diving boards and where after walking back home you're hotter than you were before you had a swim.

A place where you learn to drive a car when your feet can just reach the pedals, and where you become a competent driver at around the age of 12.

It's a place where you're forced to eat dirt because of the recurring dust storms. And where your teenage visitors can only braille their way to pool parties on local farms because directions are given in chains.

And it's a place which has only one promise when you leave: it's a long way from anywhere, really.
