Busselton Oral History Group (Inc)

In 1985 a small group within the Busselton Historical Society began conducting and recording interviews with local identities. This small group became the Busselton Oral History Group, incorporated in 2009. Numerous individual interviews, as well as projects such as Communication in the Vasse Region, Development of Holiday Accommodation, and the ANZAC Centenary have been accomplished. The collection continues to grow, verbatim transcripts are kept and digitization has been completed, with copies given to the participants, and the Busselton and the Battye (State) Libraries. The stories you read from this 'author' are selected, verbatim excerpts from our interview collection, many of which you can listen to on SoundCloud.
